Where are my OCR lovers at? I haven’t done much OCR in a few years, but I absolutely loved training for it! Being able to do pull-ups was so fun, and I learned to enjoy burpees. One year post-baby, and I’m just trying to get my core solid again! I’d like to one day be able to climb a rope using just my upper body. Did a few Spartan races back in 2018 and loved them! Would love to hear your experience with OCR!

Hi! Fellow Spartan here! I have run 2 Spartan Races, both in 2018. A Spartan Sprint and a Spartan Stadium Race. I LOVED it … and I loved training for it. I was at my best fitness level between those 2 races in the latter half of 2018. I have not run any this year but I am looking to start training for a Spartan Trail Race in November! AROO!

Yay for Spartan races! @sara.gaitan I’m also doing one in November after not doing any due to COVID. Aroo!! My last one was a beast to earn my trifecta in 2019. I’ve missed them so much.
@KaLinda (Admin) I’m looking forward to the rope climb for the first time ever! I’ve never had the upper body strength to do it or the mental strength to try after my first attempt. I’ve always opted for the burpees since that first fail. But I definitely have more strength now because of all of this warrior work 💪🏽 so I’m going to make a true attempt next month!

Besides the finish line? 🤣
I love all of the wall climbs/jumps, Hercules hoist, and the most challenging favorite for me is the Bender.

Yes ! The wall climbs are my fave! My fave is the multi-rig!! It was the one I was the most afraid of but I crushed it the first time I did it!

Keisha, I failed the rope climb on my first sprint, too, but once someone taught me how to use my feet, it was so much easier after that! I loved many of the obstacles, but I was most intimidated by one (I can’t remember the exact name). It had the inverted bars, I think, and was pretty high. It was metal, and we were wet, but I made it! Now, I think I’d probably be grossed out by the dunk wall. After having a baby, my awareness of germs skyrocketed, LOL.
Where did you ladies do you races? My sprint was in Colorado Springs in 2018, and my super was in Austin, TX, a few weeks later. I never completed the trifecta!

I did nail the spear throw on my Super race, though! I was so excited. I cried happy tears at the end of that race because it was so hard, but I made it.
