Biography |
I struggled with my weight since a little girl. I’ve done every fad diet and I would lose and gain again. I’m 5.3 in height. My highest weight was 210. I was already heavy before I had my son. In 2007 I decided to get more strict about my health and started going to the gym daily and joined weight watchers. I lost about 20 pounds. I then plateaued.
During that time I moved to another state and fell off the wagon. I lived in that state for 3 years. A few months before we moved, my husband and I did Beachbody insanity. It was very intense and lost some but nothing life changing. We then moved to Florida. Here I got diagnosed with high blood pressure. I was very upset. So I told the doctor if I work on being consistent in lowering my blood pressure naturally would you take me off the meds. My led dosage was not high. I then started jogging the bridges on my lunch hour. I did lose some weight but most importantly was able to come off the meds.
When the pandemic started I knew if I didn’t do something drastic I would gain again. I hired a virtual personal trainer. I was able to lose a lot of weight. I started at 148 pounds. My lowest weight was 120. But I was too skinny. She is a bodybuilder so her science is to lean you out first then tone you up. I did get some abs and a little muscle but I was very very skinny. I lost my butt and legs. I decided to do a tummy tuck because I had a stretched sack of skin left over that I truly didn’t like. So I had to end training for the surgery and recovery. I was happy with my surgery. But then I slacked. Since 2021 my family has been facing some hard traumas and I have been on and off on nutrition and working out. I have gained 20 pounds. It’s frustrating. As I do eat clean and mostly organic. On weekend I indulge probably a little too much. I need accountability and direction again. Since I’m 44 I know my body is going through some changes. I’m trusting that Maddy’s program will help me get to my goals and maintain.
